    MID UPDATES – Instructions to Update Your Database

    For use of Nash Warren Insurance Clients Only

    Our preferred method for you to update your vehicles is to use our Insurer drop down bar below, which will either navigate you to your insurer’s website, or dependent on the insurer you are insured with, will complete an online submission form to add or remove a vehicle/trade plate and we will pass this information on to them. Alternatively you can email us at info@nashwarren.co.uk with your update request, please ensure your full name, post code and policy number are included in the subject bar.

    Submit Your Motor Insurance Database Updates Quickly & Easily

    All vehicles insured by your motor trade policy and all trade plates registered to you or your company should be added to the MID, including:-

    1) All permanent vehicles (i.e. vehicles registered to you, owned by you, or leased to you for a period of 12 months or longer) and any vehicle in use that is to be regularly covered by the policy.

    2) Taxed stock vehicles (if held for more than 14 days).

    When a licensed vehicle leaves your stock, remove it from the MID immediately.

    Please be aware failure to comply with the Motor Insurer’s Bureau legislation on the Motor Insurance Database could result in a £5,000 fine. Not to mention the fact that the new owner of the vehicle could be acquiring parking fines and/or committing driving offences whilst using the vehicle and the authorities will pursue you for either their settlement or to issue a conviction. Please also be aware that although you have 14 days to update the MID once you have taken possession of the vehicle, the police may still impound any vehicle that does not appear on the MID. For your own protection we recommend carrying your insurance certificate or a valid cover note with you at all times when driving a vehicle that has not yet been placed on your MID record.

    Please select your current insurer (please refer your most up-to-date certificate of insurance) from the list provided below. You will then either be redirected to the relevant insurance companies own MID page or be asked to submit your online update on the form provided. Once you have supplied your information to Nash Warren Insurance it may take up to 72 business hours (excluding the weekend) for the MID to process your update. We would ask that in this time frame you should always retain in possession your current insurance certificate and proof of purchase.

    Amlin Commercial motor trade policy holders can update their policy online.

    Shortly after the inception of your Amlin Commercial motor trade insurance policy you should receive a letter from their MID team. This letter will contain your unique login details. These details can be used to process your MID updates by visiting http://secure.ais-root.com/EXTRANET

    Allianz Commercial motor trade policy holders can update their policy online.

    Shortly after the inception of your Allianz Commercial motor trade insurance policy you should receive a letter from their MID team. This letter will contain your unique login details. These details can be used to process your MID updates by visiting https://app.allianz.co.uk/FleetMidWeb/

    Shortly after the inception of your Aviva Q Underwriting insurance policy, you will receive an email from Aviva’s MID team. This email will contain the website address,  a unique password and username login.     Covea motor trade policyholders can update their policy online.

    Please visit http://www.coveainsurance.co.uk/ourproducts/commercial_products/MID.aspx to process MID updates via Covea’s website. You will need your policy number to amend your MID account. This can be found on your paperwork.

    You should receive a link via email directly from the insurer within 48 hours of policy inception. The link will direct you to a portal (MIDAS) where you’ll be able to register your MID account to add and remove vehicles.

    Liverpool Victoria Commercial motor trade policyholders must self-register to access and update their policy online.

    Please call Liverpool Victoria on 0845 373 1243 and your login details will be issued to you by e-mail. Please note you will receive a second e-mail with a one time activation code. You will need the activation code on the second e-mail the first time you login.
